The Charleston Plus mail post shares the stately look of our Liberty mail post, but in a slightly smaller scale. This post has quickly become a favorite. Mayne mail posts install easily over a standard 4 by 4 wood post, with the user burying about 2-3 feet in the ground and leaving 4 feet above the ground. The decorative sleeve is then slid over the post, the paper holder arm is attached to the post, and the mailbox of choice is secured to the arm. Mailboxes can be bolted directly to this arm using a standard nut and bolt combination.

Mayne's mail posts are made with 100% high-grade Polyethylene resin, making them durable, lightweight, and highly shock resistant. These posts are resistant to high impact, chemicals, and extreme weather conditions, making them suitable for four-season use with very little winter preparation required. The resin used in their products contains built-in UV inhibitors that reduce the damaging effects of the sun, ensuring that the product doesn't fade, preserves its color, and increases its overall lifespan.

The Charleston Plus mail post is best suited for medium-sized mailboxes weighing less than 12 lbs, with a minimum width of 6 1/4 inches (the paper holder mounting surface measures 6.125 inches wide by 17 inches long). The product ships in 2 boxes (the standard post MP5843 and the arm & planter MP5810), including the necessary hardware pack and instructions. However, the 4x4 wood post, mailbox, and mailbox mounting hardware are not included.
